Underwriting / Sponsorship / Advertising / Donation
LynnCAM TV is a nonprofit public access television and media station and though “commercial” advertising is not allowed we can provide local businesses with noncommercial branding opportunities that can help get the word out about your business, organization, charity or other project that could benefit from local access television exposure. LynnCAM TV is here to help the community communicate.
Public Access underwriting/sponsorship is a great way to reach the local Lynn and Swampscott communities for a small investment. Lynn Community Access and Media uses the money collected to support this public access media station.
Tax Deductible Donation - Because LynnCAM TV is a nonprofit organization you or your business can simply donate to keep free speech and diversity programming alive. A donation is tax deductible just as giving to a charity. As a donor you can be anonymous or be listed on our website or other basic business materials. Make checks out to Lynn Community Access + Media, Inc. and either bring or mail it into our studio at 104 Woodman Street Lynn,MA 01905. Thank you!
Underwriting/Sponsorship/Advertising
There are 3 methods of advertising available which we will explain below. First review the rules associated with non-profit advertising:
Rules for Noncommercial advertisement:
- No Special Prices - reduced cost, sales, special deals, no mention of price unless it is useful information for the community.
- No calls to action - buy now, sale ends Friday, etc. We want to provide information but encourage the viewer to act.
- No comparison phrases - best in town, better than specific competitor, only place to go, etc.
- Should be Informational - the message should be either given as information to benefit the public or to support to the station.
Available advertising at LynnCAM TV:
1. Message Board - Our Community Message Board runs throughout the day on Comcast channel 16 and Verizon channel 38. Any member/nonprofit organization can run an informational messages by providing text and image, based on their annual membership fee. If not a member we ask for $5 per posting.
Business messages - you get access to the message board by paying for an annual individual membership and for paying for each message per posting. The current rate for regular businesses is $20 per month after the initial business membership which is $100 and includes your first posting. You can send your Messages to PSA@LynnCAMTV.com.
2. 30 Sec Video Sponsor PSA- We will create a video public service announcement for you which gives information about your business in line with the noncommercial rules above. The cost for creating a running a your first Video PSA is $250, to continue to run the created PSA the cost is $150 per month. We will run the PSA at least once and up to 10 times a day for the entire month.
3. Show Sponsorship - Any business or individual can directly sponsor a local show created by a LynnCAM TV Producer or LynnCAM TV itself. LynnCAM TV Producers are independent and donations are given directly to the individual producer who is completely responsible for the content of the show. Sponsorship of shows created by LynnCAM TV are given directly to LynnCAM TV and should be made out to Lynn Community Access + Media, Inc. LynnCAM takes responsibility for the shows it creates.
Show sponsorship should be at the beginning or the end of a show or in a corner or of the screen. The show sponsorship must be labeled as a sponsor and follow all other rules listed above under noncommercial advertisement.
LynnCAM TV (any employee or board member) reserves the right to remove any program or advertising that is we feel may be abusing or not in line with the noncommercial advertising rules.
